Boards, Commissions, Committees & Task Forces
The California Legislature has taken special interest in opportunities for the general public to become involved in local government by serving on local boards, commissions and committees. Information about vacancies in these bodies is available to the public as a result of legislation sponsored by the late Senator Ken Maddy.
The following link provides a list of all regular and ongoing boards, commissions and committees to which the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors solely appoints members, or in a joint effort with other governmental bodies appoints members. This list is also available upon request at the office of the Clerk of the Board.
