Notice of Public Hearing - FY2024-25 Substantial Amendment

The Community Development Commission will hold a public hearing next month on Wednesday, March 19th, which will take place in the Hearing Room of the Commission, located at 141 Stony Circle, Suite 210, Santa Rosa, CA 95401. This hearing is related to a proposed Substantial Amendment to the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Annual Action Plan, which will involve the reprogramming of HOME funds.

Alert and warning test planned for February 25 in Windsor

The County of Sonoma, the Town of Windsor, and local law enforcement and fire agencies will conduct an emergency alert and warning test on Tuesday, Feb. 25. The exercise will consist of a targeted alert test of the Sonoma County Alert System (SoCoAlert) in the Town of Windsor. The exercise will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This is not an evacuation exercise. This will only be a test of the alert and warning system.

The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors today unanimously approved a plan to use a portion of the expected $43 million settlement from opioid manufacturers and distributors on programs that treat addiction and educate the public about the dangers of the drug.
