Family Unification Program
The Family Unification Program (FUP) is a federal housing program aimed at keeping homeless families safely together and preventing homelessness among young adults. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development provides FUP vouchers to Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) who work in partnership with public child welfare agencies who refer eligible participants to the program.
Eligible households are those that are working with the Sonoma County Family, Youth, and Children Division for whom lack of adequate housing is a primary factor in the imminent placement of a child or children in foster care or the lack of adequate housing is creating a delay in a child returning to the family from foster care.
Referrals for this specialty voucher type come from the Sonoma County Family, Youth, and Childrens Division.
