Heat Alert Issued Sept. 3-6
The Sonoma County Department of Health Services issued a Heat Alert in response to the National Weather Service’s Excessive Heat Warning for the Bay Area from 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
Excessive heat poses a significant health risk, particularly to the elderly, young children, pregnant women and those with chronic diseases.

SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, Sept. 10 from 3-7 p.m. for a community festival and an emergency preparedness fair at Larson Park in Sonoma. Sonoma County COVID Update
COVID-19 booster shots are temporarily on hold in Sonoma County pending delivery of updated boosters to target the omicron variant. The FDA authorized the new booster for people 12 and older and removed the authorization for the original vaccine for booster doses for the same age range.
