Families Outdoors at Prince Memorial Greenway September 23

Stroll along Santa Rosa Creek with other community members at Sonoma Land Trust’s bilingual nature walk on Saturday, Sept. 23. Participants will walk to Prince Memorial Greenway, pick up litter and compete in fun contests for the chance to win prizes.

Meetup is at 9 a.m. at 822 5th St. in Santa Rosa for this free event, which is made possible by Sonoma County voters who fund the work of Ag + Open Space with a quarter-cent sales tax.

Beautify the greenway, get outdoors and vibe with others who are interested in the same kind of recreation as you.

To register, please visit: https://ow.ly/4rHY50PJ4mR.

September is National Emergency Preparedness Month

September is National Emergency Preparedness Month and this is a reminder to plan ahead.

Learn evacuation zones and routes for your residence and workplace in case of a disaster. Have a map on hand and plan exit routes.

It’s also important to have backups in case of road closures or unexpected changes in conditions. When action is required, a plan will give you confidence to act and tools to keep you and your family safe.
