County Shares Message of Resilience and Rebuilding
The City of Santa Rosa and the County of Sonoma invite the community to attend a ceremony recognizing rebuilding efforts and honoring our resilient community on the 5th anniversary of the devastating 2017 wildfires.
DATE: Saturday, Oct. 8
TIME: 10 a.m.
LOCATION: Coffey Neighborhood Park (1524 Amanda Place in Santa Rosa)
ASL and Spanish interpretation, along with headphones for Spanish-speaking members of the public, will be available at the event.
For those who cannot attend in person, the event will also be livestreamed starting at 10 a.m. via the City of Santa Rosa’s YouTube Channel:

Also on Saturday, Oct. 8, Sonoma Valley Fire District invites the public to join them as they commemorate the 2017 wildfires. The gathering will take place at their local fire house with small bites and refreshments served. Visit, connect and learn where we have come since the fire.

Drought, Wildfire Preparedness Tips
Please join Sonoma Water and the County of Sonoma on Zoom for a virtual town hall on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 4 p.m. to update the public on the drought emergency.
Experts will provide the latest information on drought conditions and answer your questions. Learn about a new long-range forecast assessing the prospects for a fourth year of drought, programs to help private well owners and efforts to make Sonoma County the nation’s first 100 percent sustainable wine region.
