Winter storm update, safety reminders, closures & warnings
As new storms bring more rain, please be prepared for potential flooding, winds and possible power outages. The National Weather Service has indicated that a substantial storm is forecasted to hit at 4 a.m. on Sunday, February 4 and persist until Wednesday, February 7.
Sonoma County anticipates receiving 2-4 inches of rainfall accompanied by winds ranging from 35 to 50 mph. Weather-related impacts include waves of heavy rain, flooding on roads, increases in river and stream levels, fallen trees and power lines, as well as gusty winds.
We encourage everyone to exercise caution, avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rainfall and never drive through flooded roadways – TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN.
