Sonoma County to Host Seasonal Apiary in Healdsburg
Sonoma County this week announced a three-year agreement with Tauzer Apiaries of Northern California to host up to 120 beehives seasonally on a portion of vacant county property adjacent to the Healdsburg Transfer Station, the county’s refuse disposal and recycling facility on Alexander Valley Road.
The beehive storage license agreement was brought forward by the Sonoma County Department of Public Infrastructure and approved by the Board of Supervisors on Dec. 13, 2022.

Permit Sonoma Seeks Community Feedback to Improve Customer Service
The county is seeking feedback from the community on the Permit Sonoma Management Review Implementation Plan, which will be heard at the Feb. 28 board meeting.
During that meeting, the Board of Supervisors will review and consider a draft implementation plan for Permit Sonoma to improve process and service delivery. The review aligns with the county's commitment to strengthen operational effectiveness, fiscal reliability, and accountability.
On Feb. 28, Permit Sonoma will return with a draft implementation plan for the Board’s review.

Sonoma County Agency on Aging Seeks Input on Senior Programs
The Area Agency on Aging is seeking your feedback on the needs of and programs for older adults, individuals with disabilities and caregivers in Sonoma County.
You can participate in two ways:
- Take the online or printed survey; or
- Register for an online or in-person focus group.
Your feedback will help plan and develop services that meet the needs of our senior, disabled and caregiver community.
