As of Thursday, April 28, Sonoma County’s COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Rohnert Park Community Center is permanently closed. However, a mobile vaccine clinic will be in the Community Center’s parking lot to continue serving the community from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on May 4 and 5.
Beginning May 10, the mobile clinic will operate Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sonoma County’s vaccine clinic at the Roseland Community Center will continue to operate through June.
People who are unvaccinated in Sonoma County are 3.2 times as likely to be infected with COVID-19, 15.7 times more likely to be hospitalized if they get COVID , and are 12.8 times more likely to die than those who are vaccinated.
There were 21 COVID-related hospitalizations in the county as of Monday, with two of those COVID patients in ICU beds. There have been 490 COVID-related deaths in Sonoma County since the start of the pandemic.

Local Vaccine & Testing Opportunities
Vaccination and testing clinics are being held throughout the county to serve people who do not have convenient or affordable access to healthcare providers.

Residents who test positive using an at-home antigen test are urged to report the result by calling the county’s COVID hotline at (707) 565-4667 (4701 in Spanish). Anyone who needs help making a vaccination or testing appointment may also contact the hotline.
Vax Video Contest Deadline May 9
Sonoma County students in the sixth through 12th grades are invited to create a 30 to 60 second video that addresses the benefits of COVID-19 vaccines.
Cash prizes, donated from community groups, will be awarded to the top three videos in each of two categories, sixth to eighth graders and ninth to 12th graders.
- First place: $1,500
- Second place: $1,000
- Third place: $500
Each team will create and submit a 30 to 60 second video not to exceed 300MB for uploads. Original video files must be in .MP4 .MPEG, .MOV, .AVI, or .WMV format (.MP4 is preferred).
Winning students or teams for each category will be selected by a panel of judges chosen by the Sonoma County Office of Education. Entries will be judged on the following: effectiveness of the message, accuracy, quality, entertainment, originality/creativity.
Release and Consent Forms, Entry Form, and final video files must be submitted by May 9 at 5 p.m. A virtual Vax Vid Video Contest ceremony will be livestreamed on the County of Sonoma social media channels on May 20.
