County Supervisors Approve and Fund Cannabis Ordinance Update Part II

On June 4, 2019 the Board of Supervisors approved Permit Sonoma's Comprehensive Planning Work Plan for Fiscal Years 19/20 and 20/21 and subsequent funding for the purposes of updating the Cannabis Land Use Ordinance and preparing an associated Environmental Impact Report (EIR). The Ordinance Update and EIR processes are targeted to begin later this summer, occurring concurrently and spanning approximately two years. The Update will involve amendments to strengthen neighborhood compatibility, environmental protections, further align with state regulations, and improve access and participation in the regulated cannabis market. The workplan for this effort will be released in September to the existing cannabis ordinance email list.
