The County of Sonoma is pleased to invite you to respond to a Request for Proposal for an Animal Service Veterinarian for the Department of Health Services, Public Health Division.
Veterinary services are to be provided by a licensed veterinarian at the Sonoma County Animal Shelter for animals residing in the shelter. Services include but are not limited to examination and treatment, diagnosis of and medication for sick and injured animals and neuter/spay surgeries.
QUESTIONS
All questions related to the services listed in this RFP must be submitted in writing or by e-mail directly to Brian.Whipple@Sonoma-County.org no later than September 16, 2022 by 5:00 p.m. Questions will not be accepted by phone. Answers will be provided via posted Addendum posted no later than September 21, 2022, in the Supplier Portal.

LIVING WAGE
The living wage rate required under the County’s Living Wage Ordinance (LWO) has increased. Effective January 1, 2022, the living wage rate required under the LWO shall be $16.75 per hour, an increase over the previous $15.00 per hour. The adjustment was adopted by the County’s Board of Supervisors on December 14, 2021, in accordance with Sonoma Municipal Code section 2-377(d). All covered employees must be paid at least the increased living wage rate.

PROPOSAL SUBMISSION
Proposers must submit one (1) electronic copy to the County of Sonoma’s Supplier Portal on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 by 2:00pm. Note: Proposers must be registered to submit electronic proposals. See registration instructions on the Supplier Portal link. The link to the Supplier Portal is: https://esupplier.sonomacounty.ca.gov.
