Join us at the following Suicide Prevention month events in Sonoma County!

Santa Rosa's Connection is Prevention – Half-day conference

As part of Sonoma County’s Suicide Prevention Month, this engaging half-day conference will bring together older adults, caregivers, behavioral health professionals, and community members to highlight the vital role human connection plays in preventing suicide and supporting mental wellness as we age. Join us for an inspiring and informative day dedicated to connection, support, and community well-being for older adults in Sonoma County!

Event Details

  • Date: Thursday, September 18, 2025
  • Time: 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Location: The Backdrop – 1455 Corporate Center Parkway, Santa Rosa, CA
  • What to Expect: A dynamic mini-conference featuring a keynote speaker, expert panel, interactive breakout sessions, raffle prizes, and a resource fair tailored to older adults and their support networks.
  • Food: Complimentary morning refreshments and lunch provided
  • Expected Attendance: Approximately 100 older adults, caregivers, and family members

Cloverdale's Connection is Prevention Event

Connection is Prevention in Cloverdale is a community gathering that will bring together neighbors, service providers, and local residents to celebrate connection, have fun, and raise awareness about suicide prevention and mental wellness. Through shared experiences and meaningful engagement, we can build stronger, healthier, and more supportive communities…together!

  • Date: Friday, September 19th
  • Location: Cloverdale Plaza, 122 N. Cloverdale Road, Cloverdale, CA
  • Time: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Food: Free food will be available to everyone (burritos, sandwiches, and pizza)
  • Activities: Family-friendly fun including face painting and raffle prizes!
  • Music: Live music and performances!
  • Expected Attendance: Approximately 100 community members

 Sonoma Valley's Connection is Prevention Event

 The Connection is Prevention event in Sonoma Valley offers a meaningful opportunity for families and community members to explore local behavioral health resources and build connections that support mental health and well-being. Held during Suicide Prevention Month, this event is part of a countywide effort to highlight the power of human connection in preventing mental health challenges and suicide. Together, we can create a stronger, more connected Sonoma Valley.

  • Date: Wednesday, September 24th
  • Location: Hanna Center, 17000 Arnold Dr, Sonoma, CA
  • Time: 4:00 pm – 6:00pm
  • Food: Taco truck and Ice cream truck
  • Activities: Family-friendly fun including face painting, Ballet Folklorico, and raffle prizes!
  • Special Guest: Mayor Lands will be addressing the crowd
  • Expected Attendance: Approximately 100 community members
