Voting System Delivery
Sonoma County's New Voting System Arrives
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors approved the contract for a new voting system with Dominion Voting Systems Inc. August 14, 2018; the contract was signed shortly thereafter. Since then, elections officials have eagerly awaited arrival of the new voting system equipment. Delivery Day came December 11, 2018!
Equipment delivery kicks off several weeks of implementation activities that include inspection and testing of all equipment, training, and logistics planning for Registrar of Voters staff.
Unloading the Trucks
The first of several trucks arrive to deliver voting system equipment to the elections warehouse. Staff unload over 100 pallets of boxed equipment.
Pallets of Accessories
In addition to voting equipment for polling places, the delivery includes accessories like printers, computers, transport bags, and voting booths.
Pallets Move into the Warehouse
Forklift drivers carefully position pallets to allow room to unload and inspect equipment. After inspection, all equipment will be logged, tested, then stored to await use in an election.
