County to begin mailing ballots for June election

Vote-by-mail ballots for the June 7, 2022 statewide Primary Election will start going out in the mail on Monday, May 9, to all active, registered voters in Sonoma County, the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters announced today. Board of Supervisors to consider temporary moratorium on new vacation rental permits

On Tuesday, May 10, the Board of Supervisors will consider establishing a 45-day temporary moratorium on new vacation rental permits. The urgency ordinance would address a sudden spike in vacation rental applications while Permit Sonoma works to bring a comprehensive vacation rental ordinance to the Board of Supervisors for consideration on August 2. Applications for Curbside Chipper Program open to unincorporated residents

Immigration status no longer limits scope of Medi-Cal benefits for adults 50 and older

Local Program Receives Community Awareness Funding for 2022 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week

Sonoma County District Attorney Jill Ravitch has announced that her office has received funding from the National Association of VOCA Assistance Administrators (NAVAA) through a grant from the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), within the Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice, to promote community awareness of crime victims’ rights and services during the 2022 National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. Rohnert Park COVID-19 vaccine clinic closes; mobile clinic to open in place

The Sonoma-Marin Saving Water Partnership has published a guide for home owners new to maintaining a low water use landscape. The guide titled “Water Smart Gardens Maintenance Manual” (Manual) is an easy to use, step-by-step instruction manual on how to care for and maintain the plants, drip irrigation systems, and green features offered in the Water Smart Landscape Design Templates which are free, open source landscape plans. The Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office, announced today that voter information guides for the upcoming June 7, 2022, statewide direct primary election, will begin going out in the mail today to all active, registered voters in Sonoma County.
