County of Sonoma kicks off redistricting process with Advisory Redistricting Commission
Today the County of Sonoma Board of Supervisors completed its final community member appointments to the Advisory Redistricting Commission (ARC). In addition to seeking input from the public, the 19-member ARC will advise and assist the Board with redrawing supervisorial district boundaries and selecting the next district map for Sonoma County’s supervisorial elections. Due to fire weatherconcerns in the North Bay mountains and the greater Bay Area, the City of SantaRosa, County of Sonoma, and the National Weather Service Bay Area have decidedto CANCEL the emergency alert and warning exercise scheduled for Tuesday, July20. This exercise would have included a NOAA Weather Radio warning alarm systemtest to the County of Sonoma and a SoCoAlert test in a targeted geographicalarea in the City of Santa Rosa. Read full story
