Three electric vehicles will be handed over to Santa Rosa Junior College this week from the County of Sonoma to support SRJC’s respected Automotive Technology Program, a career technical education program that prepares students for future employment with dealerships, smog stations, repair facilities and other businesses. <p>Board Approves Plan to Reduce Risks to Critical Infrastructurefrom the Impacts of Climate Change </p><p> </p>

<span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;">The Sonoma Water Board of Directors today approved its first-ever Climate Adaptation Plan (CAP) that provides a roadmap for the agency as it navigates the impacts of climate change on its infrastructure and operations. Sonoma Water provides drinking water to 600,000 residents, wastewater collection and treatment for 70,000 residents, and flood control to communities in Sonoma and Marin counties. </span> Read full story

<p>Parolee sentenced for multiple felonies committed while on parole </p>

Free Holiday Parking at Regional Parks for Veterans and Active Duty Military

In honor of Veterans Day, military members, veterans andtheir families can receive free parking at all Sonoma County Regional Parks onthe holiday and weekend, Nov. 11 through Nov. 14, 2021.  Active dutymilitary, veterans and their families can visit county-managed parks and trailswith a special pass that waives the $7 day-use parking fee. Passes must beobtained in advance from the offices of Sonoma County Regional Parks, SonomaCounty Veterans Services or the Santa Rosa VA Clinic. Read full story

<p>Man sentenced to prison for pimping,pandering, and assault</p>

<span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;">Defendant Jason Isaiah Lopez-Willis, 22 years old of Santa Rosa, was sentenced today by the Honorable Dana Simonds to serve 4 years in state prison after pleading “no contest” to felony charges of pimping and pandering in early September. In addition to the pimping and pandering charges, Lopez-Willis was sentenced for violating the terms of his formal probation for a 2020 conviction for assault with force likely to result in great bodily injury.</span><br /> Read full story
