Congress Designates October 19-23, 2015 as National Save for Retirement Week
Their stated goals include increasing awareness of the need to adequately save for retirement and the variety of ways to accomplish this. A number of free workshops will be made available to employees during National Save for Retirement Week as part of Sonoma County’s efforts to increase employee retirement savings and improve financial literacy. Topics covered will include using your 457/401a deferred compensation program to help reach savings goals, an overview of retiree health plan benefits, how to get the most out of your Social Security benefit, and understanding the basics of your Sonoma County Employees’ Retirement Association membership. Use “SoCo Connect” to report issues and request repairs
SoCo Connect is the County's new road issue reporting system, a website and smartphone app that allows residents to report issues (potholes, etc.) and check back in to monitor progress. Read full story
What You Need to Know About the State Water Use Order
The State Water Resources Control Board has required property owners in four Russian River subbasins (Dutch, Green Valley, portions of Mark West, and Mill Creeks) to report their water use. Changes to the Green Building Process
Beginning September 1, 2015, CALGreen field verification will shift from being a duty of a PRMD field inspector, to that of a CALGreen Special Inspector.
