Road Updates - February 9, 2016

The Bridge and the Culvert crews completed work along Rockpile Road last week. The project was a guardrail repair and bank stabilization at the intersection of Rockpile Road and Stewarts Point Skaggs Springs Road. This week, the Culvert crew will begin work repairing shoulder erosion along Old Skaggs Springs Road and installing rock walls. The Bridge crew will be doing sidewalk repairs in the Sonoma area.

The County’s tree contractor will be completing work this week along Lakeville Road, doing maintenance pruning and removal of hazardous trees within the eucalyptus grove. Scheduled work hours are 9 am to 3 pm daily, long delays can be expected so alternate routes are suggested when possible.

Road projects this week include: today Tuesday, the Guerneville road crew will be paving the section of Green Valley Road west of Sullivan Road, before the bridge along Green Valley Creek. The Cotati crew will be doing a ditching project on McChristian Avenue within the Salmon Creek subdivision in Bodega Bay.  Sonoma and Healdsburg crews will be cleaning culverts and storm drains using a Vactor Truck. Cal Fire crews will be assisting with roadside brush and vegetation removal along Roblar Road and Woolsey Road on Tuesday and Wednesday. All other staff will be responding to pothole requests and damaged road signs this week.
