The Sonoma County Environmental Health Section, Solid Waste Management Program, acting as the Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) is certified by the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) to enforce state laws and regulations at solid waste sites within its jurisdiction. The Global Material Recovery Facility operates under a Solid Waste Facility Permit issued by the LEA. The operator has filed an application for a Solid Waste Facility Permit Modification with the LEA.
As required by 27 CCR, Section 21660.1, the LEA is distributing this notice for the purpose of noticing its acceptance of the Solid Waste Facility Permit Modification for Global Material Recovery Facility located at 3899 Santa Rosa Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95407.
Description of Project
The Solid Waste Facility Permit Modification addresses the following changes:
- Tonnage Allocation Adjustment
LEA’s Determination
An application for a Solid Waste Facility Permit Modification was received by the LEA on June 19, 2023. Pursuant to 27 CCR, Section 21665(c), the LEA reviewed the application and determined that the proposed changes are consistent with all adopted CEQA documents, are consistent with State Minimum Standards and do not conflict with the terms and conditions of the current SWFP. The LEA approved the Solid Waste Facility Permit Modification on July 13, 2023.
