LGBTQI Task Force Launches County-wide Survey at 2015 Gay Pride Celebration
Published: June 07, 2015
On June 7, 2015, Sonoma County's Commission on Human Rights LGBTQI Task Force launched its county-wide survey aimed at members of the LGBTQI community at the 2015 Gay Pride Celebration in Guerneville, California.
With the help of the CHR Junior Commissioners, promotional materials and hard copies of the survey — in English and Spanish — were distributed at the annual Equality For All celebration. Over the coming 3-4 months, the Task Force will be gathering information through surveys, interviews, and group meetings on the state of the LGBTQI community in Sonoma County.
The LGBTQI Task Force is enlisting the assistance of people from all segments of the LGBTQI community and the agencies and organizations that serve them. We will be counting on the participation of as many people as possible in order to develop recommendations for making Sonoma County truly inclusive for everyone who identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and/or intersex. The more people who complete the survey, the better information we will have to make recommendations that are meaningful and will serve the entire community.
