Health Action
Health Action is the framework for a community engagement effort to get people involved in creating a healthier Sonoma County. It starts at home with a personal commitment. It continues at work and school with wellness-focus policies and opportunities that encourage healthy living. It culminates in the community with a shared vision for overall good health.
Cradle to Career
Cradle to Career Sonoma County is a historic partnership that connects all segments of the educational continuum--early childhood, K-12, college/technical training, careers--with broad community support to improve the educational, economic, and health outcomes for all Sonoma County youth.
KRCB Health Connections
What does it look like when a community is healthy? There's more to it than eating fruits and vegetables and exercising. Community health is measured in high school graduation rates, economic stability, physical activity, access to health care, and the prevention of injuries, among others. KRCB focuses on these different aspects of individual and community health through Health Connections.
Upstream Investments
This policy, sponsored by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors and widely supported throughout the community, seeks to eliminate poverty in Sonoma County and ensure equal opportunity for quality education and good health in nurturing home and community environments.
Portrait of California
A Portrait of California goes beyond the state's fiscal and budgetary woes to examine the well-being of its people using the American Human Development Index, a measure based on official government data in health, education, and living standards.
