Extended nomination period opens for November 7, 2023 Election
SANTA ROSA, CA | August 14, 2023
Candidate nominations for select special district offices scheduled for election in November have been extended to Wednesday, August 16, at 5 p.m. for any qualified person -- except the incumbent(s) -- because one or more of the incumbent(s) did not file. Offices for which nominations have been extended include the following:
- Russian River Recreation and Park District
- Russian River County Water District
- Sonoma Mountain County Water District
Candidates must obtain and file nomination papers at the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office at 435 Fiscal Drive in Santa Rosa. Potential candidates can obtain information by visiting SoCoVotes.com and clicking on the Candidate Filing menu item on the left, calling (707) 565-6808, emailing rov-candidate@sonoma-county.org, or visiting the Registrar of Voters Office.
