Notice of Public Hearing: Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Funding Policies
The Sonoma County Community Development Committee and the Cities and Towns Advisory Committee will hold concurrent public hearings to review proposed revisions to Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Funding Policies for federal funding sources such as the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and Low Moderate Income Housing Asset Fund (LMIHAF) programs. Now Available: Amended Notice of Funding Availability – Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) Program
PLEASE NOTE: This Notice of Funding Availability was previously posted, but it has now been amended. The previous NOFA contained some unnecessary language regarding Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), and that language has been removed from the amended notice. Additionally, this funding is not available for individual rental assistance, and this notice is not related to the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) program. Now Available – Substantial Amendment to Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Annual Action Plan (HOME-ARP)
The Community Development Commission recently held a public hearing regarding the following funding source: HOME – American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP). The Community Development Committee and Cities and Towns Advisory Committee jointly decided to award HOME-ARP funds to Spectrum Affordable Housing Corporation for a housing project in Windsor, which will provide 43 units of affordable housing that will be reserved for low-income tenants. On or about August 16, 2024, the Sonoma County Community Development Commission will submit a request to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the release of $138,200 in Community Development Block Grants/Entitlement Grants funds as authorized by the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, Title I, Public Law 93-383, 88 Stat. 633, 42 U.S.C. 5301-5321, as amended, to undertake a project known as Gold Ridge Farm ADA Path and Restroom Facility Improvement Project for the purpose of providing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) access to public facility Gold Ridge Farm also known as Luther Burbank Farm. The CDC is moving!
The Community Development Commission and Sonoma County Housing Authority will be relocating to new offices located at 141 Stony Circle, Suite 210 in Santa Rosa on September 3, 2024! The offices at 1440 Guerneville Road will remain open through 5pm Tuesday, August 27, 2024. Offices at both locations will be closed August 28-30, re-opening at our new location Tuesday, September 3 following the Labor Day holiday. Read full story
