Notice of Public Hearing: Draft Substantial Amendment to the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Action Plan of the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan

The Sonoma County Community Development Committee and the Cities and Towns Advisory Committee will hold a concurrent public meeting to consider funding recommendations for Community Development Block Grant Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) for eligible activities that prepare for, prevent, and or respond to the coronavirus.

Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) - Community Development Block Grant- CARES Act (CDBG-CV)

The Sonoma County Community Development Commission (Commission) will be accepting funding proposals from eligible applicants for Community Development Block Grant – CARES Act (CDBG-CV), Fiscal Year 2020-21 Action Plan Substantial Amendment. Cloverdale Scouts Cabin ADA Improvement Project.

On or about July 22, 2025, the Sonoma County Community Development Commission will submit a request to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the release of $242,896 in Community Development Block Grants/Entitlement Grants funds as authorized by the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, Title I, Public Law 93-383, 88 Stat. 633, 42 U.S.C. 5301-5321, as amended, to undertake a project known as Cloverdale Scouts Cabin ADA Improvement project for the purpose of making improvements to a public building for accessibility.

Sonoma County Housing Authority opens waitlists for project-based vouchers

The Sonoma County Housing Authority will accept waitlist applications for senior studio and one-bedroom project-based voucher waitlist lotteries from June 1 through June 30. The waitlists will be for applicants 62 or over who meet the qualifications for “very low income,” which is at or below 50 percent of area median income.

Sonoma County Housing Authority announces approval of annual and five-year plans for Housing Choice Voucher Program

The Board of Supervisors today, acting as the Sonoma County Housing Authority Commission, approved the Public Housing Authority’s annual and five-year plans for the administration of the Housing Choice Voucher Program under contract with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This pivotal program is the largest initiative run by the Community Development Commission and is essential in providing housing stability for low-income households throughout Sonoma County.
