August is Child Support Awareness Month, recognized in California and nationwide. In partnership with the 47 county and regional child support offices, California Child Support Services understands that every co-parent wants to provide shelter and safety for their children but in today’s economy, it takes solutions and support to make that happen.
Free COVID-19 tests are now available
The federal government has announced that FREE COVID-19 tests are now available to be shipped. Beginning January 19, 2022, every home in the U.S. can order four (4) free at-home COVID-19 tests. Tests will be shipped by the U.S. Postal Service and arrive within seven to ten days. Order your at-home tests now at www.covidtests.gov.

The Sonoma County Department of Child Support Services has again been honored by the State of California for its work helping parents mutually agree on child support payments without undergoing an adversarial courtroom proceeding.
Department of Child Support Services phone lines down
Due to a statewide disruption in service, phone lines for Sonoma County’s Department of Child Support Services are not working. This includes the automated 866-901-3212 line. While the phone system is down, clients may reach out to Child Support Services using Customer Connect, where they may leave a message or ask for a call back. A Participant ID number is required when logging into Customer Connect. Clients can also visit any local child support agency for assistance.
Department of Child Support Services announces new programs to support local families
The Sonoma County Department of Child Support Services unveiled new resources this week to meet the diverse needs of local families, including programs to help parents simplify child support payments, reduce child support debts, and regain driver’s licenses that have been suspended for failure to pay child support.
