Human Services Paulin Lobby Renovation

This project is a 7845 square foot renovation of the lobby, interview spaces and toilet rooms at the Human Services Paulin Drive location.  It was initiated to incorporate a new electronic self check-in system and provide a brighter and more uplifting experience to the public.  New finishes were provided and a wall opened up to flood the space with natural light from an adjacent hall. Heavy diagonal steel beams were exposed and integrated into the design. Ceilings were replaced and all LED lighting and energy conservation controls were integrated to significantly reduce energy use. In preparation for the work, an alternate location was prepared at the now-empty Chanate hospital to accommodate staff during construction.  Extra funding was obtained to bring the run-down public toilets into full ADA compliance.
