County policy requires that all County websites and web-based applications must be accessible to staff members and members of the public with disabilities. For more information regarding the details of this policy, please see the Web Accessibility Policy. The Website Accessibility Questionnaire(PDF: 238kB) was designed to support this policy.

The Website Accessibility Questionnaire(PDF: 238kB) is intended to be used as a reference document during the contract phase, prior to any website or web content development. The prospective vendor should be made aware that the County requires a completed questionnaire certifying compliance before the web-based product or content will be accepted.

Fully Compliant Questionnaire Responses

County departments and agencies are encouraged to self-accept any completed questionnaire that indicates a fully compliant product. An answer key has been provided for each question to assist in the evaluation.

Upon the review and acceptance of a fully compliant questionnaire, the department or agency should sign and date the questionnaire in the space provided. The signed Web Content Accessibility Questionnaire should be filed with the contract for future reference.

Partially Compliant or Non-Compliant Questionnaire Responses

Departments and agencies should not accept a web product or content that is not fully compliant as it may create a liability for the County.

Departments and agenciesare advised to seek consultation from the ADA Coordinator and/or ISD for further assessment of the product´s accessibility and evaluation of the responses to the questionnaire.
