Volunteer Opportunities inFirefighting Services

The County of Sonoma offers services and programs related to fire and emergency services. Approximately 300 fire service volunteers support 15 volunteer fire companies. Volunteers are trained and certified to manage a variety of emergencies including fire suppression and rescuing trapped victims. Opportunities also exist to provide support in the areas of administrative and clerical work, mechanical maintenance for firefighting equipment, and fundraising efforts.
