Barbara Lee is the Director of Climate Action and Resiliency. She served Sonoma County as Air Pollution Control Officer of the Northern Sonoma County Air Pollution Control District and helped establish important clean air legislation and programs. She led development of tools and guidance for local governments on GHG emissions and mitigation in general plans and CEQA projects, and a GHG quantification handbook for land use projects. In 2014, she was appointed by Governor Brown as the Director of the California Department of Toxic Substances Control, where she served until 2019. Barbara also worked with Sonoma Technology, Inc., as Director of Community Air Quality and Climate Programs.
