<p>Nomination period to opennext week for June 7 Election</p><p> </p>
<span style="color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;">Nominations will open on Monday, February 14 for various federal, state, judicial and county offices scheduled for election on June 7. According to County Clerk Deva Marie Proto, candidates interested in running for any of the 29 positions whose terms expire this year must file nomination papers between February 14 and March 11 in order to have their names placed on the June 7 ballot. If nomination papers for an incumbent elective officer of the district are not filed by 5 p.m. on March 11, candidates other than the incumbent have until 5 p.m. on March 16 to file for such elective office.</span> Read full story

Board ofSupervisors allocates $10 million in funding for Strategic Plan and climate action priorities
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors today approved $10 million in funding for projects that aligned with the county’s five-year 2021-2026 Strategic Plan and that promoted climate action and resiliency efforts. Each of the Strategic Plan projects that were funded using the $5 million set aside from the 2021 budget hearings fell under one of five strategic pillars. The five pillars are Healthy and Safe Communities, Organizational Excellence, Racial Equity and Social Justice, Climate Action and Resiliency, and Resilient Infrastructure. Read full story
Annual PHA Plan for FY 2022-2023 Public Hearing
The Sonoma County Community Development Committee, in its capacity as the governing body of the Sonoma County Housing Authority, will hold a public hearing on March 16, 2022 at 10:00 am to review the Annual PHA Plan for FY 2022-2023 for the Sonoma County Housing Authority.
